Leadership with Care Tactics (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 14)
The course explores the four components of the CARE leadership model that states that a leader is most effective when they are Collaborative, Authentic, Radical, and Engaged. Through the exploration of historical and current leadership styles and theories, as well as research data and case studies supporting the CARE model, participants will define their leadership style and develop an action plan to make them more effective leaders.
Starting with Collaborative leadership, participants will learn to promote open communication and teamwork. They will explore techniques for involving team members in decision-making processes, encouraging diverse perspectives, and building a sense of community and belonging.
Authentic leadership will focus on how leaders can build trust and transparency within their team through authenticity. This creates an environment where people feel comfortable sharing their opinions and ideas, leading to a healthier and more effective team.
The third component, Radical leadership, guides participants through the development of novel ways of leading their teams to find solutions. They will learn to promote innovation and continuously improve processes, products, and services. Participants will learn how to help their teams to challenge the status quo and innovate.
Finally, exploring Engaged leadership will teach participants how to inspire and motivate their team members by actively investing in their development. From providing the resources necessary for their team’s success to actively listening to people with the intent to act, participants will learn how they can best engage with others. They will be introduced to techniques for creating a culture of excellence through engagement in their leadership craft and by focusing on the success of others.
By learning the CARE leadership model, participants can gain a solid foundation in collaborative, authentic, radical, and engaged leadership principles, helping them to become more effective leaders and achieve better results in their workplace and beyond.
The price of the workshop includes a workbook.
